Home Inspections in Beckley, WV
Home Inspections in Beckley & Southern West Virginia
Southern West Virginia is our second home market, and Scott Schilling — a licensed home inspector and licensed electrician who came up through the mines — covers it for us. Beckley, Oak Hill, Mount Hope, Sophia and the surrounding Raleigh and Fayette County communities all get the same standard: a complete inspection, a clear report, and honest answers.
What we inspect
The full residential scope — grounds and grading, exterior, roof and attic, garage and outbuildings, interior, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC — with a free NPMA-33 termite inspection included.
What matters in Beckley-area homes
- Coal country foundations. Older mining-era housing and settlement issues make foundation and structural evaluation especially important; structural inspections are available as an add-on.
- Electrical done right. Scott's electrician's license means panels, grounding and wiring get inspected by someone who wires them for a living.
- Heating systems. Higher elevation, colder winters, and a lot of aging furnaces and add-on heat sources. We check them.
- Radon.
Southern WV has geology where radon testing is worth the modest add-on cost.
Packages and add-ons
Basic, Pro (with thermal imaging) and Elite (with air quality testing). Mold, radon, thermal imaging and structural inspections available separately; every add-on is quoted and approved by you first.
